Appian Corporation is seeking a Consultant (Top Secret Clearance, Software Implementation) to join our team in McLean, Fairfax County, Virginia. This is a full-time, on-site position for an experienced software implementation professional with or able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
About the Role
As a Software Implementation Consultant with Appian, you'll design, deploy, and optimize enterprise software solutions for clients. You'll partner with stakeholders to understand complex business requirements, architect scalable solutions, and guide implementation teams through all phases of delivery. Your expertise will directly impact the success of mission-critical systems and drive organizational transformation.
What You'll Do
- Lead software implementation projects from requirements analysis through deployment and ongoing support
- Analyze client needs and architect technical solutions using enterprise software platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to configure, integrate, and validate software systems
- Create technical documentation, implementation guides, and client training materials
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship throughout implementation cycles
- Identify and resolve complex technical challenges to optimize system performance
- Communicate project progress, technical recommendations, and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Top Secret security clearance (current or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years of professional experience in software implementation, systems integration, or enterprise consulting
- Deep knowledge of enterprise software platforms and system architecture
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience supporting federal government or defense sector clients (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
