About the Role
As Coordinator, you'll oversee comprehensive advanced academics and language programs across elementary, middle, and high schools. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Director of Secondary Education within the Curriculum & Instruction department and is classified at Pay Grade A6.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and evaluate K-12 advanced academic programs that meet student needs and family preferences
- Oversee language programs and coordinate LOTE curriculum and instruction across the district
- Collaborate with principals, teachers, and curriculum specialists to align advanced programs with district standards
- Identify and support students for advanced academic placement, ensuring equitable access and diverse representation
- Lead professional development for teachers delivering advanced academics and language instruction
- Monitor program effectiveness through assessment and stakeholder feedback
- Ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for advanced programs and bilingual education
What We're Looking For
- Experience in curriculum development or program coordination at the district or campus level
- Knowledge of advanced academics, gifted education, or language programs (LOTE/ESL/bilingual)
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills working across grade levels and departments
- Ability to analyze data and assess program quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Master's degree preferred; valid Texas administrative certification or eligibility
