Join Lilly as an Operator - Tank Farm, Truck & Rail Operations at our facility in Lebanon, Boone County. In this full-time role, you'll play a critical part in our manufacturing and logistics operations, ensuring the safe, efficient movement of materials through our tank farm, trucking, and rail networks. About the Role
As a Tank Farm, Truck & Rail Operations Operator, you'll manage complex material handling processes, equipment monitoring, and logistics coordination that keep Lilly's supply chain moving smoothly. You'll work in a dynamic operational environment where safety, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential every single day.
What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor tank farm equipment, including pumps, valves, and automated systems to maintain proper flow and safety
- Coordinate loading and unloading of tanker trucks and rail cars, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Monitor inventory levels, pressure readings, and equipment status throughout your shift
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance checks on operational equipment
- Maintain accurate operational logs, records, and documentation for all activities
- Respond promptly to equipment issues and communicate problems to maintenance and supervisory teams
- Follow all safety protocols, emergency procedures, and environmental compliance standards
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality teams to meet operational targets
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy equipment and industrial systems
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to following established protocols
- Ability to read gauges, monitors, and technical documentation accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and ability to work assigned schedules
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) a plus
