QA Lead

Concept Plus is hiring a Quality Assurance Lead for our Dayton office. We're seeking an experienced QA professional ready to lead quality initiatives and mentor a testing function delivering mission-critical solutions to federal agencies.

About the Role

As QA Lead, you'll own the quality strategy and execution for federal technology projects. This role combines hands-on testing expertise with team leadership, process development, and stakeholder collaboration across development, product, and customer teams.

What You'll Do

• Establish and maintain QA standards, test strategies, and quality frameworks for federal compliance and security requirements
• Lead, mentor, and grow the QA team—defining roles, workflows, and professional development
• Plan and execute comprehensive testing across functional, regression, performance, and security domains
• Build and oversee test automation efforts to improve efficiency and coverage
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and resolve quality issues
• Track, prioritize, and communicate defects; ensure timely resolution and root-cause analysis
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and documentation
• Support compliance and audit readiness for federal contracts

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of QA and testing experience, with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test case design, and quality assurance best practices
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with federal IT requirements, CMMC, or security compliance (preferred)
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior testers, and drive process improvement
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
