About the Role
As a Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 2, you'll partner with the Store Manager to drive store performance and create an energetic retail environment. This leadership position focuses on operational excellence, team development, and achieving our sales objectives while maintaining the vibrant culture that makes BoxLunch & Hot Topic unique.
What You'll Do
- Support the Store Manager in leading daily store operations and meeting sales targets
- Hire, train, and develop team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage inventory, visual displays, and store presentation to reflect our brand
- Oversee cash handling, loss prevention, and security protocols
- Coach associates on product knowledge and sales techniques
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture that celebrates music and pop culture
- Handle customer concerns and ensure satisfaction
- Assist with scheduling, payroll administration, and compliance
What We're Looking For
- Retail leadership experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales-focused mindset with ability to drive store performance
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with multi-tasking
- Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Passion for music, entertainment, and pop culture (a bonus!)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
