About the Role
As a Senior Supply Chain Specialist, you'll manage procurement, logistics, and vendor relationships for a 2,000-person organization delivering solutions to some of the nation's most demanding challenges. This role requires an active or the ability to obtain a security clearance, reflecting the sensitive nature of the programs you'll support.
What You'll Do
- Oversee end-to-end procurement processes for specialized materials, components, and services required by multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Manage vendor relationships and qualify suppliers to meet stringent quality, compliance, and security standards
- Coordinate logistics and inventory management to support laboratory, manufacturing, and testing operations
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with federal regulations, export controls, and security protocols
- Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and finance to optimize costs while maintaining delivery schedules
- Monitor supply chain risks and develop contingency strategies for critical materials and components
- Maintain documentation and traceability records required for government contracts and audits
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of supply chain, procurement, or logistics experience, preferably in defense contracting, government R&D, or highly regulated industries
- Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, procurement compliance, and supply chain optimization
- Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, export controls, and security requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with procurement systems and ERP software
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
