Maintenance Worker – Seasonal

Community Counseling Center of Mercer County is hiring a full-time Seasonal Maintenance Worker for our facility in Hermitage, Mercer County. This temporary position runs May through September and invites a self-directed or collaborative professional to keep our counseling center clean, safe, and well-maintained so our clients and staff can focus on what matters most.

About the Role

You'll be the backbone of our facility operations, ensuring every space supports the mental health services we provide to our community. Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional weekend shifts, you'll maintain both the interior and grounds of our Hermitage location. This is hands-on work that directly enables our counselors and support staff to serve clients in a clean, safe environment.

What You'll Do

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all interior and exterior spaces throughout the facility
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to ensure equipment and systems operate reliably
• Stock and organize cleaning supplies, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
• Conduct daily inspections for safety hazards and address issues promptly
• Maintain grounds, landscaping, and outdoor areas in good condition
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental compliance standards

What We're Looking For

• Reliability and strong work ethic—the ability to manage tasks independently or collaborate effectively with team members
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and move throughout your shift
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Experience in maintenance, custodial, or facility management work (preferred)
• Comfort using cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals safely
• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience in a similar role
