Newswriter/Producer

Paramount is seeking an experienced Newswriter/Producer to join our dynamic newsroom in Studio City, Los Angeles County. About the Role

As a Newswriter/Producer, you'll work at the intersection of journalism and content production, crafting news stories that inform and engage audiences. You'll be responsible for researching, writing, and producing news segments for broadcast and digital platforms, collaborating with reporters, editors, and on-air talent to bring newsworthy stories to life. Your work will appear across Paramount's portfolio of news and entertainment channels, reaching viewers in Los Angeles, across the United States, and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Research current events and develop news story angles that resonate with our audience
• Write clear, concise, and engaging news copy for broadcast and online publication
• Produce segments from concept through delivery, managing timelines and newsroom workflows
• Collaborate with journalists, producers, and on-air talent to shape editorial direction
• Monitor news developments and pitch timely story ideas to senior producers and editorial leadership
• Maintain accurate records, fact-check information, and uphold journalistic standards
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced newsroom environment, meeting daily and breaking news deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience writing and producing news content for television, digital, or multimedia platforms
• Strong journalistic judgment with the ability to identify newsworthy stories and develop them compellingly
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with attention to clarity and accuracy
• Proficiency with newsroom software, CMS platforms, and multimedia production tools
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
