Body Shop Tractor Mechanic

KLLM Career is hiring a full-time Body Shop Tractor Mechanic to join our team in Richland, Rankin County. About the Role

You'll take on critical responsibilities keeping our truck and trailer fleet operational. Working in our repair center, you'll diagnose mechanical issues, perform hands-on repairs to specification, and document your work thoroughly. This position demands both technical skill and attention to detail—qualities that ensure every vehicle leaves your work area in excellent condition.

What You'll Do

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical problems on trucks and trailers
• Perform quality repairs and preventive maintenance using industry equipment
• Execute basic troubleshooting to identify root causes and solutions
• Complete detailed paperwork and service records for each job
• Maintain safe shop practices and keep your work area organized
• Operate repair facility equipment properly and safely

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent credential
• One year or more of hands-on experience in automotive or mechanical work
• Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and professional standards
• Ability to produce accurate documentation and quality workmanship
• Physical capability to perform shop work consistently
