About the Role
We maintain three vibrant school campuses serving our community: Prophetstown Elementary, Tampico Elementary, and our 6-12 Campus. As a custodial or kitchen substitute, you'll step in to cover routine absences and ensure our facilities run smoothly. This is full-time substitute work that offers the flexibility to make a meaningful contribution to student-centered environments while maintaining consistent employment.
What You'll Do
- Perform custodial duties including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining school facilities to health and safety standards
- Prepare and serve meals in our kitchen operations, following food safety protocols and district procedures
- Respond promptly to coverage requests across all three district locations
- Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting maintenance needs to supervisors
- Support a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in custodial, maintenance, or food service roles
- Strong reliability and punctuality—substitutes are essential to our daily operations
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
- Physical capability to lift, bend, and perform manual tasks throughout a shift
- Willingness to work across multiple school buildings
- A commitment to supporting student success and a clean, safe learning environment
