CT Tech – Inpatient

Mount Sinai is hiring a CT Technician – Inpatient for our Prince, Manhattan facility. In this full-time position, you'll operate advanced computed tomography scanners and produce the diagnostic images that guide patient care across our inpatient hospital system.

About the Role

As an Inpatient CT Technician at Mount Sinai, you work within our diagnostic imaging department to acquire detailed, high-quality computed tomography scans that support clinical diagnosis and treatment planning. Your role serves patients from all hospital units—emergency departments, ICUs, surgical floors, and specialized care areas—where imaging is essential to patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Operate CT scanners following established protocols to capture diagnostic images of patient anatomy
• Prepare inpatients for imaging procedures with clear explanations and reassurance
• Position patients safely and correctly on imaging equipment, adapting for mobility limitations
• Select and apply appropriate scan parameters and reconstruction protocols for each study
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any changes or concerns to nursing or physician staff
• Verify image quality against diagnostic standards and coordinate repeat scans when needed
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and equipment logs
• Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control protocols, and HIPAA requirements

What We're Looking For

• Current ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist
• ARRT-CT specialty certification or commitment to obtaining it
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hospital environment
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to image quality
• Physical ability to safely assist and move patients
• Understanding of radiation protection principles and safety practices
