Service Technician III

ITW Food Equipment Group LLC is hiring a Service Technician III in Missoula, Missoula County for a full-time position. About the Role

As a Service Technician III, you'll bring advanced technical expertise to the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial-grade food service equipment. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that combines troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems with the strong communication skills needed to support food service operations. You'll work independently and as part of a service team to keep our customers' equipment running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial food equipment including ovens, ranges, broilers, refrigeration units, and ware washing systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and customer satisfaction
• Install new equipment and retrofit existing systems at customer sites
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify root causes of failures
• Document service work, parts usage, and customer interactions for service records
• Advise customers on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols
• Meet service schedules and respond to emergency calls when needed
• Stay current with equipment specifications, technical bulletins, and industry standards

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a field service technician or in commercial equipment repair (HVAC, food service, or similar industries preferred)
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Professional communication skills and customer service orientation
• Willingness to travel within the service territory as needed
• High school diploma or equivalent
