Graduate Nurse Telemetry

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Marion County, Illinois is seeking a Graduate Nurse Telemetry to join our nursing team. About the Role

As a Graduate Nurse Telemetry at our Centralia facility, you'll specialize in cardiac monitoring and continuous patient observation. This full-time position operates on a night shift schedule (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with rotating assignments, every third weekend required, and holiday coverage expectations. A key advantage: this role has no on-call requirement, giving you predictable scheduling and better work-life balance as you begin your nursing career.

What You'll Do

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient vital signs using telemetry systems, identifying and documenting changes in real-time
• Respond promptly to telemetry alarms and clinical changes, communicating with the interdisciplinary care team
• Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and hygiene
• Administer medications under supervision and maintain detailed clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Support patients and families with compassionate communication and emotional support
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement in the telemetry unit

What We're Looking For

• Recent graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN degree)
• Current eligibility to practice nursing as determined by the Illinois State Board of Nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills with ability to work independently under supervision
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development in nursing
