O&M Generalist I | South Hospital | Evening Shift

Memphis Hospitals is hiring an O&M Generalist I for our South Hospital location. This is a full-time, evening shift position where you'll keep our healthcare facility running smoothly by maintaining critical building systems and responding to operational needs across the campus.

About the Role

As an Operations and Maintenance Generalist I, you'll be an essential part of our facilities team, responsible for the upkeep of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure that supports patient care and hospital operations. Working evening hours, you'll perform maintenance tasks, respond to requests, conduct inspections, and troubleshoot issues to ensure our South Hospital location remains safe, functional, and compliant with facility standards.

What You'll Do

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders throughout the facility
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Document and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize work and maintain facility operations
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with facility standards

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or related field
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to safety and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Availability to work evening shift hours
