Maintenance Technician 2

CCH is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician 2 in Garberville, Humboldt County, to help keep our affordable housing communities safe, functional, and welcoming for the residents who call them home.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician 2 with CCH in Garberville, Humboldt County, you will play a hands-on part in preserving the quality and livability of the residential properties we build and manage. This on-site, full-time position is ideal for a skilled, dependable tradesperson who takes pride in well-maintained homes and thrives in a mission-driven environment focused on dignity, respect, and supportive communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance across CCH housing properties.
• Diagnose and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems.
• Complete turnover and make-ready work to prepare units for incoming residents.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests while delivering courteous, respectful service to residents.
• Keep common areas, grounds, and building exteriors clean, safe, and in good repair.
• Document completed work and maintain accurate service records.
• Support a safe, sustainable, and welcoming living environment in line with CCH's mission.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in property, facilities, or building maintenance, ideally in a residential setting.
• Practical knowledge across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Reliability, integrity, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Garberville, Humboldt County.
