As an Insurance Defense Attorney based in Lexington, KY, you will represent insurers and their policyholders across a range of defense litigation. This on-site position is ideal for an attorney with roughly two years of relevant experience who is ready to step into substantive casework, take on genuine responsibility, and grow within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense files from intake through resolution, including pre-litigation and active litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies tailored to each claim.
• Represent clients at depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings as needed.
• Communicate clearly with insurers, clients, and colleagues to keep matters moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license to practice law in Kentucky, or eligibility for admission.
• At least two years of experience handling insurance defense matters.
• Strong, detail-oriented approach to legal writing, research, and case management.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
