About the Role

As a Shift Lead at Walgreens in Sparta, you serve as the acting manager on duty whenever store leadership is unavailable. What You'll Do

• Open and close the store, executing all required system start-up and shutdown procedures
• Oversee cash handling at the start and end of shifts, including safe drops and supplying register banks with correct change
• Receive back-door deliveries and coordinate with the stock room to ensure product is processed and floor-ready
• Process customer refunds, product returns, and order voids with accuracy and professionalism
• Ensure the sales floor and stock room are organized, properly stocked, and prepared for the business day
• Guide and support team members on shift, modeling Walgreens' customer service standards
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive shopping environment
• Uphold store safety, loss-prevention, and compliance policies throughout every shift

What We're Looking For

• Prior retail, customer service, or cash-handling experience — pharmacy or drug store background a plus
• Demonstrated reliability and a willingness to take ownership of store operations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example with coworkers and customers
• Comfort working independently and making sound decisions without on-site management present
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for accurate cash management
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle stock room tasks including receiving deliveries
• Flexibility to work a part-time schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays
