System Transport is actively hiring full-time CDL-A Flatbed Truck Drivers for regional routes out of Mexico, Audrain County — a great opportunity for experienced drivers ready to haul specialized freight across the western United States.
About the Role
In this full-time flatbed driving position, you'll operate a tractor-trailer on regional routes, moving high-value industrial materials for customers who depend on safe, on-time delivery. The freight mix includes glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, metal coils, and specialty metals — cargo that demands skill, precision, and a professional approach to load securement every single time.
What You'll Do
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on assigned regional flatbed routes throughout the western US
- Safely load, strap, chain, and tarp freight in compliance with all federal load securement standards
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings accurately
- Maintain hours-of-service records in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch to meet pickup and delivery schedules
- Handle specialty materials — including coils, steel, and machinery — with proper technique to protect cargo and equipment
- Represent System Transport professionally at shipper and receiver locations
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL — required
- Verifiable flatbed driving experience with heavy or oversized freight
- Solid working knowledge of tarping, strapping, chaining, and load securement for flatbed hauls
- Clean motor vehicle record and a current DOT medical certificate
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct
- Ability to work independently on regional routes while staying in communication with dispatch
