Radiologic Technologist Lead

Froedtert & MCW is hiring a full-time Radiologic Technologist Lead to serve as the operational anchor of its Diagnostic Radiology Department in Wauwatosa, Milwaukee County — a role built for a credentialed imaging professional ready to step into a leadership position.

About the Role

As a Radiologic Technologist Lead at Froedtert & MCW, you will own the day-to-day rhythm of a busy radiology department. You'll balance hands-on technical work with supervisory accountability, ensuring every shift is appropriately staffed, every team member has clear direction, and every imaging procedure meets established quality and compliance standards.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily departmental operations in the Diagnostic Radiology Department, including workflow planning and workload distribution among radiology staff
• Assign duties and responsibilities to radiologic technologists each shift to maintain efficient patient throughput
• Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines governing radiation safety, record keeping, and quality control
• Provide real-time technical guidance and mentorship to imaging team members
• Act as the primary point of coordination between radiology staff, radiologists, and other clinical departments
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as a working technologist when operational demands require
• Identify staffing gaps and escalate coverage needs to department leadership proactively
• Support quality assurance processes, equipment checks, and documentation audits

What We're Looking For

• Current ARRT (R) certification and a valid Wisconsin Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility)
• Demonstrated experience as a radiologic technologist, with prior lead, charge, or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of diagnostic imaging protocols, radiation safety regulations, and radiology department workflows
• Ability to assign, prioritize, and adjust work responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with technologists, radiologists, nurses, and clinical leadership
• Commitment to quality patient care and regulatory compliance
