Aviation Division

Aviation Division is hiring a full-time Duty Shift Manager to lead airport passenger assistance operations at JFK Airport in South Ozone Park, Queens, NY.

About the Role

As Duty Shift Manager, you will own the full operational picture for a shift — directing wheelchair services and passenger assistance across the terminal, coordinating frontline staff, and ensuring that every traveler with a mobility need receives prompt, professional support. This is a hands-on leadership role that calls for sharp situational awareness, decisive problem-solving, and the ability to keep a diverse team performing at a high standard in a fast-moving airport environment.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise and coordinate Terminal Coordinators, Wheelchair Agents, and Dispatchers throughout your assigned shift
  • Monitor real-time service delivery for passengers with reduced mobility, intervening quickly to resolve delays, coverage gaps, or service failures
  • Assign and adjust staffing across gates and terminal zones based on flight schedules and passenger volume
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for airline partners, terminal operations teams, and airport authorities during your shift
  • Enforce compliance with ADA requirements, airport regulations, and company service standards
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, provide on-the-floor coaching, and document performance and incident reports
  • Escalate operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement of shift workflows

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in operational or shift leadership, preferably in aviation, transportation, hospitality, or a comparable service environment
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team under time pressure in a dynamic, public-facing setting
  • Strong organizational and workforce coordination skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in real time
  • Clear, professional communication — both written and verbal — with staff, passengers, and airline representatives
  • Familiarity with passenger assistance regulations and accessibility standards is a plus
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays consistent with airport operations
