Sony Music Global is hiring a full-time Finance Coordinator – Global Finance to join its corporate finance team in New York, NY, supporting financial operations across one of the world's leading music entertainment companies.
About the Role
As a Finance Coordinator on the Global Finance team, you'll play a hands-on role in the day-to-day financial operations that keep a complex, multinational organization running. Working alongside finance leaders and cross-functional partners, you'll help ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and strong financial controls across global markets.
What You'll Do
- Process and track invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments with accuracy and timeliness
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for internal stakeholders across global business units
- Coordinate with regional finance teams in multiple countries to consolidate data and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation in compliance with internal policies and audit requirements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles as directed by senior finance staff
- Respond to ad hoc requests for financial data and analysis from cross-departmental teams
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field
- Prior experience in a finance, accounting, or business operations role, ideally within a large or global organization
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is a plus
- Detail-oriented with solid analytical skills and a commitment to data accuracy
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across teams and time zones
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines reliably
- Interest in or familiarity with the entertainment or media industry is a bonus
