Commercial Banking Leader

Wells Fargo Bank is hiring a full-time Commercial Banking Leader to own and grow the Austin, Travis County market as part of the South Central Division's Commercial Banking team.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position at the heart of Wells Fargo's Commercial Bank, responsible for setting strategic direction and driving growth across the Austin market. The Commercial Banking Leader serves as the face of the division locally, aligning business priorities with client needs while building a high-performing team that delivers results across a competitive commercial lending landscape.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage Commercial Banking operations across the Austin, Travis County market, driving revenue growth and expanding client relationships
• Define and execute the strategic vision for the South Central Division's Austin portfolio in alignment with enterprise Commercial Bank goals
• Coach, develop, and hold accountable a team of commercial banking professionals to meet production, credit quality, and client service benchmarks
• Cultivate and deepen relationships with middle-market and commercial clients, serving as a trusted advisor for complex financial solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with credit, treasury management, capital markets, and other Wells Fargo business lines to deliver comprehensive banking solutions
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and economic conditions across the Austin area to identify growth opportunities and manage risk
• Represent Wells Fargo in the Austin business community through networking, civic engagement, and business development initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated leadership experience in commercial banking, with a track record of growing a portfolio and developing talent
• Deep knowledge of commercial credit, lending structures, and treasury products relevant to middle-market businesses
• Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships at the executive and ownership level
• Strong business development instincts with experience identifying and closing new commercial banking opportunities
• Familiarity with the Austin, Texas business market is a plus; established local networks are highly valued
• Ability to navigate complex organizational environments and lead through influence as well as authority
• Commitment to regulatory compliance, sound credit judgment, and Wells Fargo's risk management standards
