About the Role
As Aftermarket Manager at RDO Equipment Co., you own the day-to-day results of Parts and Service — two departments that are central to customer loyalty and dealership profitability. You'll set the tone for how your team operates, how customers are treated, and how consistently the department hits its goals. This is a leadership position that rewards initiative, follow-through, and a genuine commitment to developing others.
What You'll Do
- Direct the daily operations of Parts and Service, including staffing, workflow, and quality standards
- Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing technicians, parts specialists, and support staff
- Set and monitor department performance targets — revenue, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and inventory health
- Manage parts inventory levels to balance availability against carrying costs
- Build lasting customer relationships by resolving concerns quickly and ensuring service commitments are met
- Oversee warranty administration and ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and procedures
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements that increase throughput and reduce downtime
- Partner with sales and other departments to deliver a seamless customer ownership experience
- Prepare and manage department budgets, reporting results to senior leadership regularly
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated experience managing a parts or service department, preferably in agriculture, construction, or heavy equipment
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong business acumen — comfortable reading department financials and acting on the numbers
- Customer-focused mindset with a track record of resolving issues and earning repeat business
- Solid understanding of equipment service operations, parts logistics, or both
- Clear, direct communication style that works equally well with technicians, customers, and leadership
- Proficiency with dealership management systems or similar operational software
