IS Support Administrator – OnSite

Providence is hiring a full-time IS Support Administrator (OnSite) to join its Information Services team in Missoula, Montana — serving as the frontline IT resource for the caregivers, partners, and staff who power one of the region's most trusted health systems.

About the Role

As an IS Support Administrator at Providence in Missoula County, you'll be the primary point of contact when technology gets in the way of patient care. Working onsite every day, you'll resolve end-user issues, fulfill IT service requests, and support technical project deployments — keeping Providence St. Joseph's clinical and administrative teams running at full capacity. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in fast, accurate, people-first support.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the first point of resolution for hardware, software, and connectivity issues reported by Providence caregivers, partners, and customers
• Log, prioritize, and track incidents and service requests through the IT ticketing system with precision and follow-through
• Deploy, configure, and maintain end-user devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral equipment
• Facilitate technical project deployments such as system upgrades, application rollouts, and new device installations
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IS staff and coordinate with vendors to drive timely outcomes
• Communicate clearly and patiently with non-technical users, keeping them informed throughout the support process
• Maintain accurate documentation of solutions, configurations, and recurring issues to strengthen team knowledge

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in IT help desk, desktop support, or end-user support environments
• Strong troubleshooting ability across Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and standard enterprise hardware
• Familiarity with IT service management platforms and structured support practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine commitment to positive customer outcomes
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced healthcare setting
• Experience supporting clinical or healthcare IT environments is a plus
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
