About the Role
This is a full-time, solo 1099 contract driving position covering over-the-road (OTR) lanes out of Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County. You'll run dedicated, line-haul routes hauling refrigerated and dry van loads, with steady weekly miles and a predictable home-time schedule that keeps you moving without burning out.
Compensation & Schedule
- Average gross weekly pay between $900 and $1,100 (total)
- Typical weekly mileage ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 miles
- Dedicated, line-haul freight with no driver load or unload
- Approximately 5 days out on the road at a time
- Earn 2 days of home time for every 7 days worked
- Home every weekend
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A equipment safely across OTR refrigerated and dry van lanes
- Transport temperature-controlled and standard freight on dedicated line-haul routes
- Maintain on-time pickups and deliveries while meeting all DOT compliance standards
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and keep accurate trip records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
- License must be free of restrictions including (G) Night Driving and (O) No Semi Trailer
- Willingness to operate as an independent 1099 contractor
- Comfortable running OTR with extended periods away from home
