Lead Quality Auditor

Bechtel Corporation is hiring a Lead Quality Auditor in Cicero, Onondaga County, New York, to champion quality assurance excellence on one of our landmark engineering and construction projects.

About the Role

As Lead Quality Auditor with Bechtel Corporation, you will oversee the quality management framework that keeps our Cicero-area project (work location: Clay, NY) aligned with rigorous engineering, regulatory, and client standards. This is a full-time, on-site position for a detail-driven professional who thrives on continuous improvement and is ready to guide audit activities from planning through resolution. National family relocation authorization is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and lead internal and supplier quality audits across project and field operations.
• Evaluate processes, documentation, and deliverables for compliance with established quality standards and procedures.
• Identify nonconformances, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and verify timely closure.
• Mentor and coordinate audit team members, promoting consistent methods and best practices.
• Prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings to project leadership and stakeholders.
• Support a culture of accountability, safety, and measurable quality improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in quality auditing, quality assurance, or quality control, ideally within engineering, construction, or industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems, audit techniques, and applicable industry standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause investigation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work full-time on site in the Clay/Cicero, New York area.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $119,800 to $182,700 annually. This range reflects current market data; the final offer is determined by the applicant's education, experience, and qualifications.
