St Thomas More Catholic Parish in Castlewood, Centennial is hiring a Liturgical Music Specialist to enrich our community's worship and help guide the faithful in prayer through sacred music.
About the Role
As the Liturgical Music Specialist at St Thomas More Catholic Parish, you will serve as a musical and spiritual contributor to parish liturgies, shaping prayerful, reverent experiences through song and instrumentation. This is a part-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Liturgy, with compensation of $36–$40 per hour. We are looking for a talented musician and a faithful Catholic disciple who feels called to support our parish family's life of worship in Centennial.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and accompany the parish in prayer through sacred music during Masses and liturgical celebrations.
- Apply skill in at least one performance area — piano and/or organ, choral conducting, or voice.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Liturgy to plan and prepare music that complements the liturgical season and rites.
- Foster a worshipful, prayerful atmosphere that draws the congregation into deeper participation.
- Support the musical needs of the parish community with consistency and care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated musical experience and proficiency in at least one of the following: piano, organ, choral conducting, or voice.
- A practicing, faithful Catholic disciple who understands and embraces the role of sacred music in Catholic liturgy.
- The gifts and dedication to help lead a parish community in prayer through music.
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to work under the direction of the Director of Liturgy.
