Pediatric Developmental Services is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher (Elementary Resource) to serve students in Cashion, Maricopa County — part of the greater Avondale, AZ community.

As an Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher with Pediatric Developmental Services, you'll deliver individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in a supportive, energetic school setting. What You'll Do

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with each student's unique academic, behavioral, and developmental goals
• Provide direct, small-group, and co-taught resource room instruction to elementary-age students with disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress across all settings
• Monitor and document student performance data, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with federal IDEA requirements and Arizona state special education regulations
• Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels capable and valued
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and IEP goals

What We're Looking For

• Valid Arizona teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Experience working with elementary-age students with disabilities, learning differences, or developmental delays
• Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and special education law
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction across a range of ability levels
• A collaborative, solution-focused mindset and genuine enthusiasm for student success
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and families
