Childcare Lead Infant Teacher

Milton

Milton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Lead Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Milton, Norfolk County, MA on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As a Lead Infant Teacher at Milton, you will serve as the primary educator and caregiver for our youngest learners — guiding infants through their earliest developmental milestones in a warm, structured, and enriching environment. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact by building a foundation of trust, curiosity, and growth at the most formative stage of a child's life. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of educators who share a genuine commitment to nurturing the whole child.

What You'll Do

  • Design and deliver developmentally appropriate activities that support infant cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development
  • Lead daily routines including feeding, diapering, nap schedules, and sensory play in a manner consistent with each child's individual needs
  • Observe and document developmental progress, communicating milestones and concerns clearly with families
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating infant classroom that meets all Massachusetts childcare licensing standards
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to assistant teachers and aides in the infant room
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with families through consistent and transparent communication
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine passion for infant development and early childhood education
  • Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early education setting
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field — or an equivalent credential such as a CDA
  • Solid understanding of infant developmental stages and best practices in responsive caregiving
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain before start
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, compassionate approach to teamwork
  • Ability to meet Massachusetts EEC educator qualification requirements
