Center Manager

Youth In Need is hiring a full-time Center Manager to lead the Meramec Early Learning Center in Montgomery City, Montgomery County — a hands-on leadership role at an organization dedicated to strengthening children, families, and communities.

About the Role

As Center Manager, you will hold full operational responsibility for the Meramec Early Learning Center, creating an environment where children thrive and staff are empowered to do their best work. What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day oversight of all center operations, maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for children, families, and staff
• Recruit, hire, supervise, and develop teaching and support staff, fostering a collaborative team culture rooted in shared values
• Ensure ongoing compliance with Missouri licensing requirements, childcare regulations, and organizational policies
• Partner with families through consistent communication, relationship-building, and responsive problem-solving
• Oversee enrollment processes and monitor attendance, capacity, and program participation
• Manage center budgets, resources, and vendor relationships in alignment with organizational goals
• Lead quality improvement efforts across curriculum, classroom practice, and child outcomes
• Serve as the primary point of contact for community partnerships and local stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing or supervising staff in an early childhood, childcare, or human services setting
• Strong working knowledge of early learning program standards and state licensing requirements
• Proven ability to build trusting relationships with children, families, and diverse community members
• Effective organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• A growth mindset — comfort with honest feedback, continuous learning, and navigating complexity with resilience
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant education or credentials in early childhood education, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred
