First Line Leader- E&I Maintenance

International Paper is hiring a full-time First Line Leader – E&I Maintenance at its Greenfield Manor, Berks County facility — a hands-on leadership role directing electrical and instrumentation maintenance operations in one of the world's leading paper and packaging manufacturing environments.

About the Role

As the First Line Leader for E&I Maintenance, you will own the day-to-day leadership of a skilled team of electrical and instrumentation technicians. You'll be the frontline driver of equipment reliability, workforce performance, and safe maintenance execution at the Greenfield Manor plant. This position carries a pay range of $89,000–$124,500, with final placement based on individual experience, skills, and qualifications. The role is also eligible for International Paper's short-term incentive plan, which can provide additional financial opportunity through variable pay.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of E&I maintenance technicians, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize electrical and instrumentation work orders to maximize equipment uptime and production continuity
• Champion site safety by enforcing lockout/tagout procedures, arc-flash protocols, and NFPA 70E compliance during all maintenance activities
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, control loops, and instrumentation assets
• Collaborate closely with operations, reliability engineering, and planning teams to align maintenance schedules with production goals
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and instrumentation failures, coordinating root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
• Manage department resources, including parts inventory, contractor utilization, and maintenance budgets
• Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance across all E&I maintenance activities

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated supervisory or team-lead experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or process environment
• Solid working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and process instrumentation
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards including NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA regulations
• Proven ability to develop technicians, manage workloads, and drive continuous improvement in a high-paced plant setting
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering technology, industrial technology, or a related discipline — or equivalent hands-on experience
• Effective communication and organizational skills with the ability to work cross-functionally at all levels of the operation
