Quality Assurance Manager

Hoffmaster is hiring a full-time Quality Assurance Manager to join its operations team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin — a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of food safety, manufacturing compliance, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As Quality Assurance Manager at Hoffmaster's Oshkosh facility, you'll own the execution of the site's quality and food safety programs from the plant floor to the leadership table. You'll serve as a critical bridge across manufacturing, supply chain, and senior management — translating compliance requirements into practical, sustainable systems that protect product integrity and support operational performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily quality assurance operations, ensuring products consistently meet internal standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain food safety management systems, including HACCP plans and GMP programs
• Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by applying methodologies such as lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent frameworks
• Manage internal and third-party audits; maintain readiness for customer, regulatory, and certification inspections
• Analyze quality metrics and KPIs, presenting findings and recommendations to plant and executive leadership
• Mentor and develop quality team members, building departmental capability and accountability
• Collaborate with R&D and procurement on supplier quality and new product launches

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Quality Management, or a closely related field
• Proven experience managing quality assurance functions within a manufacturing environment, preferably food or consumer goods
• Working knowledge of food safety standards such as SQF, BRC, FSMA, or HACCP
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting quality data to drive decisions
• Excellent communication skills — comfortable presenting to both plant-floor teams and senior leadership
• Proficiency with quality management systems (QMS) and standard Microsoft Office tools
• CQM, CQE, or similar ASQ certification is a plus
