GMP Manufacturing Associate (Biotechnology)

Astrix Technology is placing a full-time GMP Manufacturing Associate with a pioneering biotechnology company in the Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks area of Ventura County, California — a hands-on production role for life science professionals who want their work to directly advance next-generation biologic medicines.

About the Role

Our client is a recognized leader in the biotechnology industry, harnessing the power of living-cell systems to engineer breakthrough biologic therapies. As a GMP Manufacturing Associate, you will operate on an active production floor within a strictly regulated environment, executing the manufacturing activities that keep critical biologics moving through the pipeline and toward patients.

What You'll Do

• Carry out manufacturing operations in full compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and site-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform cell culture, upstream bioprocessing, and/or downstream processing steps within assigned production suites
• Operate, clean, and maintain manufacturing equipment, instrumentation, and support utilities
• Complete batch records, logbooks, and controlled documentation accurately and on time
• Support environmental monitoring, area sanitization, and line clearance activities
• Participate in deviation investigations and corrective action processes alongside quality and operations teams
• Uphold all safety standards and contribute to a culture of continuous compliance

What We're Looking For

• A degree in biology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related life science discipline — or equivalent experience in a regulated biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting
• Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and GMP documentation practices
• Hands-on exposure to mammalian cell culture, bioreactor systems, or bioprocessing unit operations is a strong advantage
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to execute complex written procedures with precision
• Clear, accurate written communication skills suitable for GMP record-keeping
• Physical ability to work on your feet for extended periods in cleanroom or controlled-environment settings
• Flexibility to support production across shifts as operational needs arise

Compensation

This Ventura County biotechnology position offers an hourly rate of $25–$30, based on experience and qualifications.
