Product Manager – Eco-Products

Novolex is hiring a full-time Product Manager for Eco-Products at its Boulder, Colorado location — an opportunity to lead the strategy and lifecycle of a mission-driven sustainable packaging line within one of North America's largest packaging manufacturers.

About the Role

As a Product Manager on the Eco-Products team in Boulder, you will own the product roadmap for a portfolio of compostable and environmentally responsible foodservice packaging solutions. You will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, manufacturing, sales, and marketing to bring products from concept to market, ensuring each line meets both customer demand and Novolex's sustainability commitments.

What You'll Do

• Define, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap for Eco-Products sustainable packaging lines
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities across foodservice, restaurant, grocery, and retail channels
• Partner with engineering and sourcing teams to guide product development using substrates such as paper, molded fiber, and plant-based resins
• Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans for new and refreshed SKUs
• Track product performance using key metrics and use data to inform lifecycle decisions including launches, revisions, and discontinuations
• Work closely with sales to support customer presentations, RFPs, and category reviews
• Collaborate with marketing to develop positioning and messaging that resonates with sustainability-focused buyers
• Monitor regulatory and certification requirements (e.g., compostability standards) and ensure product compliance

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of product management experience, ideally within packaging, consumer goods, or manufacturing
• Demonstrated ability to manage a product portfolio across multiple stages of the product lifecycle
• Strong analytical skills with experience building business cases and interpreting market data
• Familiarity with sustainable materials or eco-certified product lines is a plus
• Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment
