Quest Diagnostics is hiring a full-time Phlebotomist II at its Manalapan, NJ patient service center — a convenient location serving Englishtown and the broader Monmouth County area.

About the Role

As a Phlebotomist II with Quest Diagnostics, you'll be a frontline ambassador of patient care, collecting and processing diagnostic specimens with precision and compassion. This position follows a consistent weekday schedule — Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM — plus a rotational Saturday shift from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Compensation ranges from $19.41 to $29.12 per hour, commensurate with experience, training, and qualifications. Note: proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for this role; unvaccinated candidates will be subject to a regular testing protocol.

What You'll Do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on adult and pediatric patients with professionalism and care
• Verify patient identity and collect specimens in strict accordance with established protocols
• Accurately label, log, and process samples for transport to the laboratory
• Operate centrifuges and prepare specimens per test-specific requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work environment
• Deliver a calm, reassuring experience for patients who may be anxious about blood draws
• Support the training and guidance of less experienced phlebotomy staff as needed
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification from ASCP, NHA, or a comparable accrediting body preferred
• At least one year of hands-on phlebotomy experience, with demonstrated skill in routine venipuncture
• Familiarity with specimen handling, processing, and chain-of-custody requirements
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a patient-facing environment
• Clear, courteous communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements or comply with regular testing
