Director of Ecommerce

York Design Group is hiring a full-time Director of Ecommerce to lead digital commerce strategy and execution from their office in York, York County.

About the Role

This is an ownership-level position at the intersection of strategic vision and hands-on execution. As Director of Ecommerce at York Design Group, you will shape the direction of the company's digital retail ecosystem — stewarding platform evolution, accelerating online revenue, and ensuring marketplace and merchandising operations run at a high standard. You'll work directly with senior leadership on long-term digital strategy while remaining deeply involved in the platforms that power day-to-day commerce.

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end ecommerce operations, including platform transformation roadmaps and ongoing performance optimization
• Partner with company leadership to define and execute long-range digital commerce strategy
• Manage and optimize the Shopify storefront, including product presentation, site merchandising, and conversion initiatives
• Administer product content and syndication workflows in Salsify to maintain data accuracy and channel readiness
• Oversee the Amazon Vendor Central account, driving performance across listings, content, and fulfillment operations
• Lead marketplace optimization efforts to improve visibility, conversion rates, and profitability across all digital channels
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing, merchandising, operations, and technology teams
• Track and report on ecommerce KPIs, identifying growth opportunities and resolving performance gaps

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience leading ecommerce functions, ideally including direct-to-consumer and marketplace channels
• Practical, working knowledge of Shopify at an administrative or development level
• Hands-on experience with Salsify or a comparable product information management (PIM) platform
• Proficiency managing Amazon Vendor Central, including content optimization and operational workflows
• Proven ability to translate high-level digital strategy into measurable execution
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to guide merchandising and revenue decisions
• Effective cross-functional communicator comfortable working with both executive stakeholders and technical teams
