Lead Generator (1099 Independent Contractor)

Advocate Construction is looking for driven, people-oriented professionals to join its growing network of Lead Generators working as 1099 independent contractors in Chicago, Cook County — representing one of the largest residential roofing companies in the United States.

About the Role

This full-time independent contractor position is designed for self-starters who thrive on face-to-face interaction and value the flexibility of a 1099 arrangement. As a Lead Generator with Advocate Construction in Chicago, you will be the first point of contact for local homeowners, identifying properties that may benefit from a professional roof inspection and connecting those homeowners with the company's sales team.

What You'll Do

• Canvas residential neighborhoods throughout Chicago and Cook County, initiating conversations with homeowners about the condition of their roofs
• Identify properties that may have sustained storm or weather-related damage and qualify homeowners as candidates for a complimentary inspection
• Schedule appointments between interested homeowners and Advocate Construction's sales representatives
• Represent the Advocate Construction brand with professionalism, transparency, and genuine care for every homeowner you meet
• Track lead activity and ensure an accurate, timely handoff to the sales team
• Manage your own daily schedule within assigned territories to maximize outreach and results

What We're Looking For

• A self-motivated, results-driven individual who can work independently without close supervision
• Confident verbal communication skills and a natural ability to connect with people quickly
• Comfort working outdoors and on foot in residential neighborhoods across Chicago and Cook County
• Prior experience in canvassing, door-to-door outreach, lead generation, or direct sales is a plus — though not required
• Reliable transportation to reach assigned areas throughout the greater Chicago metro area
• Ability to operate as a 1099 independent contractor and manage personal tax responsibilities accordingly
• A sincere commitment to helping homeowners safeguard one of their most significant investments
