About the Role

As a Certified Family Support Specialist with Tueller Counseling in Rexburg, you'll work directly alongside caregivers who are raising a child diagnosed with a mental health disorder — including those facing co-occurring developmental, behavioral, or substance use conditions. Your focus will be on equipping parents with practical tools and steady encouragement so they can confidently support their child and maintain a stable, healthy family unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching and support services that help caregivers build and reinforce effective parenting skills.
• Guide families caring for children with mental health, developmental, and/or substance use diagnoses.
• Strengthen each caregiver's role and confidence in meeting their child's needs at home.
• Work to keep families intact and reduce the risk of out-of-home placement or further family disruption.
• Provide compassionate, consistent assistance tailored to each family's circumstances.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Family Support Specialist (or eligibility to obtain certification).
• Experience working with families, children, or individuals managing mental health concerns is highly valued.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills.
• A patient, empathetic approach and genuine commitment to family wellbeing.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Rexburg, Madison County.
