As a Certified Peer Support Specialist with Mental Health Systems, Inc. in Escondido, you will draw on your own recovery journey to inspire hope and practical change in others. Working within our TURN program — built around client-centered care and the values of People, Culture, and Growth — you will deliver education, encouragement, and hands-on support that helps clients move forward in their mental health recovery within a genuinely purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer peer-based support, education, and recovery-focused interventions that assist clients on their path to wellness.
• Use your personal lived experience to model resilience, build trust, and foster hope.
• Champion a client-centered approach in every interaction, meeting each individual where they are.
• Collaborate with the broader care team to reinforce each client's recovery goals.
• Help connect clients to resources and skills that promote lasting stability and independence.

Qualifications

• Active certification as a Peer Support Specialist.
• Personal lived experience with mental health recovery that informs your work with clients.
• Strong listening, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• A sincere commitment to client-centered, recovery-oriented care.
• Availability for a full-time, on-site role based in Escondido, San Diego County.
