CDL A RGN Drivers Needed (Open Deck)

A&M CARRIERS INC is hiring experienced CDL A RGN Drivers (Open Deck) to run open-deck freight out of Hoffman Estates, Cook County on a solo over-the-road basis. If you take pride in securing heavy and oversized loads and want consistent miles, this contract driving opportunity is built for you.

About the Role

This is a full-time, solo CDL A RGN Driver position operating flatbed and Removable Gooseneck (RGN) equipment over the road. Drivers run as 1099 independent contractors and are compensated at 30% of each load, with a weekly gross average ranging from $2,000 to $3,000. Expect roughly 3,000 to 3,500 miles per week hauling open-deck freight throughout the OTR network.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a flatbed trailer and Removable Gooseneck (RGN) configuration on OTR routes
• Transport open-deck freight efficiently while averaging 3,000 to 3,500 miles weekly
• Properly secure and tarp loads, with tarping required on approximately 25% of hauls
• Maintain compliance and professionalism on every run (no driver load/unload responsibilities)

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
• Comfort and experience handling open-deck, flatbed, and RGN equipment
• Willingness to run OTR with extended time on the road
• Ability to complete driver orientation prior to dispatch

Home Time

• Plan for 14 to 21 days out per stretch, with the flexibility to stay out longer if you prefer
• Earn 1 day of home time for every 7 days worked
• Guaranteed home for at least one weekend each month
