Sr. Director Medical Affairs

Becton Dickinson & Company is seeking a Sr. Director Medical Affairs in Milpitas, Santa Clara County, to lead clinical and scientific strategy at the intersection of life sciences innovation and patient impact. About the Role

As Sr. Director Medical Affairs, you will direct the medical and scientific function for the organization, translating pioneering analytical technologies into meaningful clinical value. Following the combination of BD's Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business with Waters Corporation, applicants to this Milpitas-based position will be applying for a role with Waters, a global leader in regulated, high-volume life sciences, informatics, and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the medical affairs strategy across the product portfolio
• Provide senior scientific leadership and clinical guidance to cross-functional teams
• Build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders, clinicians, and healthcare partners
• Oversee medical input into product development, evidence generation, and commercial initiatives
• Ensure scientific accuracy and compliance across all medical communications and activities
• Mentor and develop the medical affairs team to deliver against organizational objectives

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific, clinical, or medical degree with substantial relevant experience
• Proven leadership track record within medical affairs in life sciences, diagnostics, or a related regulated field
• Strong understanding of regulated, high-volume scientific environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across clinical and commercial audiences
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Milpitas, Santa Clara County
