About the Role
The Community Action Programs (CAP) of Cayuga/Seneca are seeking dedicated volunteers to support our mission of strengthening the Waterloo, Seneca County community. As a CAP volunteer, you'll have the chance to contribute your time and talents to activities thoughtfully matched to your availability, ensuring every contribution feels purposeful and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate effectively alongside staff, fellow volunteers, and community members.
- Engage with clients in a manner rooted in compassion, dignity, and sensitivity.
- Safeguard the privacy of those we serve by upholding strict confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with hands-on tasks, including the ability to safely lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Participate in a variety of meaningful activities tailored to fit your personal schedule.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A respectful, empathetic approach when interacting with clients from all walks of life.
- Reliability in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
- Physical capability to safely lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
