Construction Superintendent

Stonhard is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale flooring construction projects across Raleigh and the greater Wake County area. This full-time, field-based role offers the flexibility of working remotely when you are not on-site managing active projects.

About the Role

As a Construction Superintendent at Stonhard, you will take ownership of complex flooring installations, including large and multi-phase builds. Working closely with general contractors, Stonhard's trusted installation partners, and end customers, you will guide each project from start to finish — ensuring polished, high-quality flooring is delivered on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate large flooring construction projects, some spanning multiple phases, from mobilization through completion.
• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for general contractors, installation partners, and customers.
• Manage installation crews and schedules to keep work progressing safely and efficiently.
• Uphold Stonhard's standards for quality, safety, and craftsmanship on every job site.
• Travel to project locations throughout the Raleigh and Wake County region as needed, working remotely during periods between active field assignments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising commercial or industrial construction projects, ideally involving flooring or related finishing trades.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct contractors, subcontractors, and installation teams.
• Solid understanding of construction scheduling, site coordination, and quality control.
• Excellent communication skills for partnering with general contractors and customers alike.
• Willingness to travel to job sites across Wake County and the surrounding area.
