Residential Clinician

Elmcrest Childrens Center is hiring a full-time Residential Clinician in Eastwood, Onondaga County, to deliver compassionate, evidence-informed mental health care to young people and their families within our residential setting.

About the Role

As a Residential Clinician at Elmcrest Childrens Center, you will serve as the primary clinical lead for youth enrolled in a designated residential program in Eastwood, Onondaga County. This on-site role blends direct therapeutic work with cross-system coordination, ensuring each young person receives consistent, individualized support throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy tailored to the needs of youth in residential care.
• Develop, monitor, and update treatment plans that reflect each youth's clinical progress and goals.
• Translate and communicate clinical needs to a range of stakeholders, including program staff, families, county agencies, and the courts.
• Partner closely with the residential team to maintain a therapeutic, trauma-sensitive environment.
• Document services accurately and maintain records in line with program and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care as youth transition through the program.

Qualifications

• Clinical training and credentials appropriate for delivering individual, group, and family therapy.
• Experience supporting children, adolescents, and families, ideally within a residential or behavioral health setting.
• Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external systems such as counties and courts.
• Commitment to working on-site in Eastwood, Onondaga County, in a full-time capacity.
