The Jewish Board is hiring full-time Case Managers in the Bronx, New York City to support adolescents building the skills they need to thrive in young adulthood. About the Role

As a Case Manager based at Cedar House in the Bronx, you will work alongside young people ages 16 to 21 who are referred through the Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and the Juvenile Justice system. Many of the youth in our care have lived through serious trauma that can surface as behavioral, emotional, or developmental difficulties. Within Cedar Knolls House's independent living skills program, you will help residents grow toward self-sufficiency through vocational readiness and everyday life-skills support. This is a full-time, on-site position in New York City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic and supportive case management to residents ages 16–21.
  • Coordinate care for youth referred through ACS and the Juvenile Justice system.
  • Guide participants through the independent living skills program, including vocational preparation.
  • Respond to behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs with a trauma-informed approach.
  • Partner with the residential team and external agencies to advance each young person's goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with adolescents or young adults, ideally in a residential or social services setting.
  • Understanding of trauma and its impact on behavior and development.
  • Familiarity with ACS and Juvenile Justice referral processes is an asset.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to supporting independent living and vocational growth for at-risk youth.
