Virginia Tech is seeking an accomplished veterinary pathologist to join its faculty as a Clinical Track Assistant or Associate Professor in Anatomic Pathology in Blacksburg, Montgomery County. This full-time, on-campus appointment offers the chance to practice diagnostic pathology alongside a respected, board-certified team.
About the Role
Housed within the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, this clinical-track position welcomes candidates at either the assistant or associate professor rank. The successful applicant will become part of an established group of eight board-certified anatomic pathologists, contributing to high-quality diagnostic service in a collaborative academic veterinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver diagnostic anatomic pathology services as a core member of the pathology team.
- Collaborate closely with fellow board-certified pathologists on casework and interpretation.
- Support the teaching and training mission of the College through clinical instruction.
- Participate in the academic and service activities of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology.
Qualifications
- Eligibility for appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor on the clinical track.
- Board certification, or eligibility, in veterinary anatomic pathology consistent with practicing alongside the existing certified team.
- A commitment to diagnostic excellence, teaching, and collegial teamwork within an academic veterinary environment.
