Senior Manager of Individual Giving

About the Role

The Senior Manager of Individual Giving is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position based on-site in Chicago, reporting to the Senior Director of Development. In this role, you will lead efforts to grow and deepen relationships with individual donors whose generosity fuels Ignite Org's work to interrupt the cycle of poverty. The posted salary range for this position is $75,000–$85,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and carry out strategies that strengthen Ignite Org's individual giving pipeline, from first gift to long-term loyalty.
• Build authentic, lasting connections with current and prospective donors who share a commitment to supporting youth.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual supporters across giving levels.
• Partner closely with the Senior Director of Development and the broader development team to meet fundraising goals.
• Track donor activity, analyze giving trends, and refine outreach to maximize engagement and retention.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in individual giving, donor relations, or nonprofit fundraising.
• Strong relationship-building and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage a donor portfolio and move supporters through a thoughtful cultivation cycle.
• A genuine passion for the mission of serving youth and advancing human services work.
• Comfort working on-site in Chicago as a collaborative member of the development team.
