About the Role
ASRC Federal Communications is hiring a full-time Fire Alarm System Mechanic to install, service, and maintain alarm systems under the ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This is a U.S.-based, on-site role located at Eareckson Air Station (EAS) on Shemya, Alaska. Because of the station's remote setting, the position follows a rotational schedule, with the selected employee working roughly three months on station followed by one month off. This is not a remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Install fire alarm systems and supporting components across facilities at Eareckson Air Station.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and testing to keep alarm systems fully operational.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to ensure reliable life-safety coverage.
- Support the ISS2 contract and meet the standards expected by our Air Force customer.
- Adhere to the rotational on-station work schedule required for this remote location.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience installing and maintaining fire alarm or related alarm systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail when working with life-safety equipment.
- Willingness and ability to work a rotational schedule at a remote Alaska duty station.
- Ability to meet the requirements of a federal contract supporting a U.S. Air Force customer.
