About the Role

As a Behavior Intervention Specialist with Caddo Parish School District, you will work within Special Education and Special Programs to design and implement strategies that help students succeed. Reporting to the special education compliance and complaint management supervisor, you will combine assessment expertise with hands-on technical guidance to support educators, families, and students across the district.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavioral assessments to understand the root causes of student behaviors.
• Develop, document, and refine individualized behavior intervention plans aligned with student needs.
• Provide technical assistance and coaching to teachers, support staff, and school teams.
• Collaborate with the special education compliance and complaint management supervisor to ensure plans meet regulatory standards.
• Monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies based on observed outcomes.

Qualifications

• Background in special education, behavioral intervention, school psychology, or a closely related field.
• Working knowledge of functional behavioral assessment methods and behavior intervention planning.
• Ability to advise and coach educators and school personnel on behavioral best practices.
• Strong understanding of special education compliance expectations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse school teams and families.
