About the Role
The Installer position at Sunrun puts you at the heart of our mission: transforming how households across America generate and use power. Working on-site at customer residences throughout the US, you'll turn solar designs into fully functioning energy systems. This is a field-based, full-time role for people who take pride in quality craftsmanship and want their daily work to make a measurable difference for the planet.
Key Responsibilities
- Mount, assemble, and connect residential solar panel and battery storage systems at customer homes
- Follow installation plans, manufacturer specifications, and electrical and building codes accurately
- Operate hand and power tools safely while working on rooftops and at heights
- Uphold Sunrun's safety-first standards on every job site, every day
- Deliver clean, professional results that reflect Sunrun's reputation for quality
- Collaborate with crew members, site leads, and other trades to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications
- Comfort performing physical, hands-on work, including lifting equipment and working on rooftops
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to job-site safety
- Ability to read and follow technical installation documentation
- A reliable, team-oriented approach and dependable attendance
- Prior experience in solar, electrical, roofing, or construction is helpful but not always required
